Whats the littel button beside the e-SATA ports for?

It's a good looking board. I like how they have ditched all the legacy ports off the back.

That button looks like a BIOS reset button to me. A number of Asus/Abit boards have had them.

8 USB ports on the backplane is great, floppy and SATA ports are nicely placed...

I am sure the chipset and MOSFETs could do with some cooling solution though

PS/2 is a legacy port as well :-) They seem to have dumped the floppy connector (I can't see it). IDE is next for the culling.

I've been very impressed by MSI's recent stuff. I had one of their boards as a 'backup' system and it clocked like a beast.
The interface was no where near as nice as Abits Uguru, but it really was a nice board.

With Abit looking like its sadly disappearing, I'd love to see MSI rise up in their place.

    24 gig of DDR3 RAM !! Well I suppose it's that or a deposit on a house.

What I was wondering is that while three PCIe 2.0 x16 slots are mentioned, two seem to be black and one blue? Is there a difference? What's the thing hanging off the end of them? Looks like a cable tie. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong slots.

One thing I'd really like to see mobo manufacturers include, is a front panel connector to fit your front panel connections in to and then fit the connector on to the mobo. I know one manufacturer does this already (can't remember who) but it's such a simple idea and so damned helpful 'cos they can be a nightmare to fit.

The two black ones will be indicating which ones are to be used for an SLI setup.

The little plastic tab on the end if supposed to clip onto cards that have a coresponding notch, it helps to stop them moving during transport or with vibration etc.

thanks for clearing that up funkstar.

Would have thought that with the new gen board all three would have been sli-able (word?).

That tab thing seems like a good idea, my 8800gtx never looks too secure in my case altho antec did send out to me a gadget for long gfx cards. Never could see a way to get the gadget to work in the case. They sent it out to me for free and I didn't want to seem ungrateful so I never asked them how to fit it . Ikea would have been proud of the instructions provided.

I see the DrMos delivers zero noise, I should think that some 680i board users will be glad to upgrade to get away from the squeal.

Will be very interested in seeing these boards when they come out.

Just found some images of the board with it's cooling on here.

I've seen buttons before - nothing so new... The abit front panels from a while back were the shizzle dizzle! Clear CMOS from the big red button on front 5/1.2" bay panel
