100quid for 3x Win7... hmm... I think i might just bite for that.

2x pcs and a laptop here that will need it and being as they have barred UK ppl from buying direct from the MS Store for the 50USD deal that might just ease the pain. I still do not understand why they force you to be in the usa to do that deal. FFS its a DIGITAL download with Licences emailed to u.

Well, I tried, and Amazon.com refused to ship to UK. I guess MS have placed the same embargo on all retailers, although some might still ship it. However, if you have a friend, relative, colleague ...

Yes, but thats at £50 and not $50. Although I do have to admit, £50 is probably a reasonable price, and a good deal on a 3-pack would be even better.

Aren't the $50 versions the upgrade ones though ?
The EU ruling means that we get full versions sans IE instead of the upgrades with IE.
Personally, I'm happy spending the extra £10 to get the full version (think of it as spending the money not to get IE).

MS already do Office like this (Office Home is 3-user) so I can see this making sense for them.

Might still be cheaper to use other means of purchase though (e.g. ultimatesteal, work-from-home, etc)

It's definitely a step in the right direction for M$, but how many people are going to bite? The vast majority of home users aren't the kind of people who are going to install a new o/s on their computers & then re-install all their apps.

Actually, I'd buy a three computer Windows 7 Home Premium pack for £149.99: £50 per computer? Sounds reasonable to me in the same way that pre-ordering for £49.99 sounds reasonable.

Now, how about a 3 pack of Pro for £199.99...?

Tell that to my uncle who barely knows how to turn on his PC, who bought Windows Xp Pro to upgrade from Xp Home all because his mates told him it was worth doing. I didn't think it worth the aggravation to tell him there is no difference for a user like him.

I'm just waiting for the queue of phone calls from friends and family asking me for help installing Win7 on their perfectly working Vista PC's just because they've been told its 100x better.
