Ever heard of Texas Instruments? Surely you have! They make everything semiconductor related, from graphical calculators to firewire controllers. Well, now they have managed to put the features of a mobile phone onto a single chip. IT Observer reports:

Texas Instruments announced today that it has integrated most of the computing functionality for cell phones into a single chip. Nokia will develop mobile phones based on the new chip solution, which will allow for more cost-effective high-powered sets, especially in high-volume markets.
