Sony and IBM Cell technology emerges
It'll probably be in the next games console you buy and it'll probably be in a lot more than that if Sony and IBM have their way. I am of course referring to the Cell chip. From The Inquirer:

there's a whole lot of hype surrounding Cell, and how it's as powerful as 100 supercomputers or similar crap.
i remember the same rhetoric when the Emotion Engine in the ps2 was being discussed in the end, sony are great at hype, but a little lacking in backing it up |
