Gigabyte BTX Form Factor Preview

I must admit I am a little bit interested in BTX. The new motherboard layouts fascinates me. I'm not sure why and I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually, but still, for now I'm following BTX's progress. Legion Hardware have a look at an early production BTX board from Gigabyte.

The Gigabyte 8I915G-ZFD has given me my first real taste of what is to come on the BTX scene. Keeping in mind this motherboard does feature a relatively old chipset, I am going to focus more on the BTX specification. The performance testing was done purely for those that wanted to see the numbers. Of course I never expected the performance to better that of the current 915G motherboards. The Gigabyte 8I915G-ZFD is more about what it can enable and that is quiet, cool and compact computing.
