New 12V Software Controlled Pump from asetek

asetek has introduced a new pump to their arsenal of WaterChill cooling equipment and this one is a little different to anything we've seen before.

Let's get the stuff we have seen before out of the way first. The new pump runs at 12V so you can run it off your computer's PSU rather than externally (providing your PSU is up to the task, of course.) The pump is also integrated into a reservoir.

Now for the clever bit. asetek have included a control board in the pump system which connects to the computer through USB. Control software then allows the monitoring of temperatures and the manipulation of the pump speed to let users customise the noise output or performance of their waterchill system.

Prices start at €59, more details can be found at the asetek website.

Must say this I think is the way forward. Give the control that you would have with say a Vapochill or Mach II GT.

Nice USB connection and allow full control of your watercooling...excellent idea
