    Intel architect moves to AMD

Scott Breach, graduate of the University of Wisconsin, who formerly worked on the Alpha team, then moved to Intel, has now moved on to AMD according to sources in contact with The Inquirer.
Many of the people who graduated from the University of Wisconsin are now top boffins. It is a great loss for Intel, which inherited him from the Alpha team.

According to his home page, his thesis work was on the design and evaluation of a multiscalar processor.

He lists his research interests as computer architecture, multiscalar projects, and beer.
I wonder if AMD coerced him into 'defecting' by promising him his own multiscalar beer project?

Or maybe its just because he knows whos the best.

I would be interested to know who approached who, if he approached AMD did it coincide with the Anti trust law suit now levelled at Intel?

Indeed there seems to be no reason as to why he's moved. Will look into this today if I get a chance.
