So with the 4800 series and 790GX on the attacking front when will AMD bring out a CPU that can do an all scale strike on Intel !! Are we just waiting months, maybe AMD have something very cunning up their sleeve.....
I'm a little pessimistic about that. Nvidia sat on their backsides for 18 months asking to get caught up. Intel has ploughed straight on with Penryn, Atom and soon Nehalem, more or less on schedule. They'll be a bit harder to catch IMO, though I certainly hope AMD come up with something since the new quads could do with coming down in price a notch or two...Originally Posted by Brewster0101

Baffles me who makes these leakes - inside employee? Or were these released to circulate misinformation so competitors are side tracked?
