    News - Nintendo offer poor solution to Wii storage issue

    Oh that sucks. They should have thought of this earlier. I mean whats the point of an SD slot if you cant at least put your save games on there?! They could easily allow you to save games and console number lock it so you can't share them.

    They could easily have put an SSD in there or made one as a peripheral.

    One problem with that, peripherals don't sell. Fact. Nintendo/Atari/Sega have all tried, and all have failed. What Nintendo have done is probably the only thing they could have done, but handled it badly.

    They are game related add-ons. Not related to the console itself. We've seen loads of different types of these in the past, for all consoles, and they do sell well. But for this instance has no relevance.

    Console add-ons do not sell in the numbers required to make them successful.

    Depends on the price I guess.
    Memory is cheap and it could be a success if priced well and has a larger purpose.

    Something I would buy if I could see the benefits but for now I do not and Ill save my $s for 360 games or a PS3.
