I believe that's the right timeframe to launch Windows 7 - they won't want to miss the Christmas buying frenzy, and if they can hit the back to school crowd, then even better in their eyes...

Also, I Imagine they will do the similar voucher system they used for Vista. In that if you buy a new computer between June and October, you get a free upgrade to Windows 7 vouhcer. To make szure they don't loose any business between now and RTM.
Sounds good, I've been enjoying using the beta so far, certainly seems to be an improvement. Doubt I'll buy it for a while though, happy with Vista for now so no real need for an upgrade.
