Quite: This is the European Commission, let us not forget. There are two possible outcomes:

    1. Nothing is heard for 27 years.
    2. They decide to blame microsoft (their default stance) and fine them One Billion Dollars.

Edit: Whoa. Animus, this is getting spooky: I keep posting "comedy" rejoiners to your comments. I'll stop now.

but it has confirmed that no incidents have yet been reported by RAPEX - Europe's rapid alert system for dangerous consumer products.

Re: News - European Commission investigates exploding Apple iPods

The company now says it's the customers, claiming some sort of improper handling led to the explosions. In all cases, the glass cracked due to an external force that was applied to the iPhone. There is strong need to take care of such issues. The explosion problem was faced by Nokia also.
