although i'm sure its a beast, is a gtx280 not a lil overkill for only 1920x1080 gaming ?

Think I am holding off of a new laptop until there is mobile version of the ATI 4860 or 5xxx series, still I have the time to wait, do not need a laptop just yet.

Engineering department at my work got a couple of the clevos that these are based on as mobile workstations. A bit overkill to run AutoCAD and **** though I'd say.
