    I think it must be. It's listed as a Pentium too, so your CPU is presumably not on the list any more.

    Intel have a CPU nomenclature that's the reverse of Nvidias, give two different products the same name.

    There are Pentium versions of most of the C2D Exxxx series now.

    That's not strictly accurate: there was a "Core 2 Duo E6600", and now there's a "Pentium Dual Core E6600". See, the majority of the name is different...
