Re: News - HP TouchPad rumoured to launch in March

Touchpad looks pretty smart, trouble is that it's up against well-established players (Android and iOS). And yes, before I get flamed by the "Church of iOS", I do realise that Android-on-tablets is a fairly new idea.

So, I just hope that someone in HP decided to be bold and drive for marketshare - and the best way to do this is to pitch it at a reasonable price. Say, closer to £200 than £400.

The CES (?) demo looked pretty convincing, device seemed quite snappy to use, and that one-stop-shop for mail, IM etc is a cool feature (imho). If the price is right, then it's maybe something I could find a use for ...

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Crossy I have to say that I agree with you. I hope they price it low enough but I don't think they will.

TouchPad looks like a great piece of kit. It didn't look as great on Pre possibly down to screen size or average specs of the phones? I only HP market it better than Palm did.
