Do people trust Google yet?
If not then I cant see this gaining massive ground..
I thought Chomebooks were supposed to be cheap?
The cloud based system is supposed to allow the use of old, cheap technology as well as the OEM not having to pay a license fee.

I suspect Google will be trying to ride the wave of hype with higher prices to start with, and then they'll be reduced as more models are released - probably to around netbook levels at £200 without 3G.
I think the biggest problem is the price being charged in the UK. Based on that hardware I can't see the manufacturing costs being high - and with no software costs either, I think there is alot of greed being had at the expense of the consumer.
These seem like a great idea if they were £200 inc the 3g model. I'd buy one for £200 if it did the internet 100%, office applications and media streaming. Tablets are over priced for what they offer compared to netbooks/laptops. This seems like a good oppotunity to produce cheaper tablets that do pretty much the same as the expensive offerings now.
The bottom line is - if they aren't cheap, they have nothing going for them.
The internet infrastructure isn't good enough for these yet anyway.

I was looking into these, but they use Atom cpus (albeit dual-core) so lost interest.
