    I'm doubtful that this would be a success, as there are likely to be a number of people who will assume that it means that eBay sells some of the items themselves, and that they would be able to take it home with them from the shop itself.

    Also, what is there to stop someone from running off with one of the loaned HTC phones? Or account theft due to somebody forgetting to log out before they hand back the loaned phone (which would subsequently be handed to another customer)?

    If its an Android HTC Device you could root it in the time you have it and install some key logging software. Not a good idea.
