I don't think I'd like this staring it me on my mantlepiece. Mind you, there's some skill gone into making that.

Re: News - Steve Jobs life-like doll canned after pressure from Apple

Apple apparently threatened legal action accusing In Icons of creating a doll that "resembles the technology company's logo, person's name, appearance, or likeness of its products."
Is this Apple trying to patent/copyright a person? Is that legal, especially with said person having joined the heavenly focus group?

That said, I'm kind of glad - it's bad enough with all the supermarkets/bookshops having the Jobs biography in the bargain displays, having this figure glaring out at you as well I find extremely creepy.

Any idea who would buy a "Steve Jobs action figure"? Only diehard Apple fans as far as I can tell. And is there a Bill Gates and/or Steve Ballmer one for the opposing team?

The price does seem a bit high, I bought mine for £4.99.

It was pulled because there was a design patent infringement (the design had a face attached to a body with arms and legs)
