Normal mouse buttons do wear out after a few years (even more so for pc gamers) so I am tempted to try out a touch mouse. Only if they are a bit cheaper...

But would a touch surface be responsive/sensitive neough for a gamer? For that matter, would it be robust enough for the 'steady abuse' that gaming or similar activities would entail long-term?

So it's basically just a glorified laptop touchpad? The only difference being the size and the look?

I believe it's an optical mouse with a touch surface on the top? So you can use swiping and multitouch gestures instead of using the mouse wheel, but you still move it around like a mouse...?

Really? My very first logitch MX518 still works fine and i game. Cant see this working well for gaming at all, you WANT lots of buttons when you are PC gaming in my experience.

i would assume so, thats how the apple one works!

I wonder if apple will have a crack at suing them over this?

I have had hands on with the apple one, bloody hated it, the touch aspect was fine I like it but moving it normally to control the pointer was terrible, I have faith that logitech can do a damn site better job
