I purchased a Radeon 7000-series card and I wish I'd waited
I still see no reason to upgrade from my existing card

My fancy is tickled, but It's not enough of a jump up from my 480's to be tempted to jump. That may change when I see the folding figures....
Absolutely. Sat on an ATI 4870 512MB at the mo. Definitely going to get either a 680 or, depending on how fast the midrange versions come out, a 670/660. I'm waiting for Ivy Bridge anyway, and I game on a single 24" 1920x1200 monitor rather than a multi screen setup (3 screens, but the others are only 19" and permanently run IM clients and such), so waiting a bit longer for a midrange card and then freeing up some cash for a better SSD or similar makes sense.
It's going to replace my 285, assuming its supported in my PCIe 2.0 motherboard.
BUT if anyone doesnt use a resolution as high as 1920x1200 then the 285 GTX is very much capable for the forseeable future on modern games.
I'm tempted, but I'm also tempted with the 7970, If i get the 7970 I can use it straight away but if I go 680 direction I will have to wait for my new CPU and mobo, ooo decisions decisions...
Want one but my GTX580 is good for now !
Nah, I'll wait for a GTX 660 or GTX 660 Ti.
I'm really impressed, less power draw and much faster, notably at 2560x1440/1600 which is what I game at on my 27" monitor.
I held off on the buying 680 though, I felt that £420 I wanted more than 2GB RAM and a quieter cooler. I'd be very tempted by a customised 4GB card with better cooler for sure up to around £450... However I'll probably wait for a 670 to show up with extra RAM and quiet custom cooler, that should be a nice upgrade from my current noisy 570 (it's a whoosher!) which I only really bought last summer expecting to upgrade fairly soon when the next gen arrived, never thought it'd still be there nearly a year on.

I'm getting one as soon as I can and hopefully, with any luck, win it! I'm still using an ATI 4870x2 that I've had to bake 4 times due to overheating and in desperate need of a new card for work, but mostly games. I refuse to play Mass Effect 3 until I have the 680! Crossing my fingers...
I'm very interested by this card! In fact, I think the is the most interested I've been in a GPU release in quite some time - mainly the power management features since I play a lot of older games and would really appreciate the Frame rate control. For budgetary reasons I'm going to have to wait for the 670 though...

At £400 you must be joking. Both AMD and Nvidia are milking this generation to the hilt. At this price point not a worthwhile upgrade for my admirable HD5850. If they want my custom they'll need to shave £150+ off the price. IMHO the 7850 is too crippled to be worth the money and again the 7870 needs £100 price cut to be compelling.
Both the 79xx and the 680 are miles off the price/performance curve to be considered as a worthy upgrade. They will tickle the fancy of the early adopters but after that both will need big price drops to survive or else they'll just disappear as long forgotten and not missed cards.
