I wonder why that is the reason AMD has priced its current 28NM cards relatively high ATM??

well if the demand is greater than the supply you can surely get away with it. This all very good news for TSMC and i cant help feeling its what should have been happening at GF.

Demand constantly seems to be greater than supply at TSMC, that's the problem. Still the companies had plenty of chances to go with GF and didn't do it so they only have themselves to blame for that.

but GF has consistently proved they are not up to the job. Why would you go with someone you know will result in low yields and a lack of supply?

Well TSMC has also consistently proven they aren't up to the job. Their 40nm was a laughing stock and now we hear 28nm isn't wonderful either.

GF has fabbed many times more HKMG wafers than TSMC has till this point (granted 32nm vs 28nm). Of course TSMC will catch up soon but only because they have so many more fabs.

The big question has got to be does apple have a slice of this pie or will they be stuck with their arch nemesis samsung who are now only giving them last gen tech and not letting them use the 32nm fabs.

i really dont think they have the capacity to help apple. I wouldnt worry about them though they have enough money to build their own bloody fab if it come to it

If you were being sued by Apple, would you give them the best tech?
