I think McD and the others would love this. Reduce the size of your product but still sell it for the same price. Sounds like a win-win to me!
This is a well known effect that applies to all sorts of things - phantom itches in limbs that have been amputated can be stopped by scratching an optical illusion (like a mirrored image of another limb).
McD already do it, just the wrong way around!
