Brilliant, I'm sure plenty of students will be loving this, research can be difficult not because of the content but finding the content you need. I look forward to more relevant results and finding things I'm looking for much quicker.

Re: News - Google Knowledge Graph adds contextual search and facts

As an Electronic & Electrical Engineering student who was recently set a group project in which each group had to investigate how to develop the power infrastructure in a different country, the links you find by accident which opened up whole new areas to think and talk about but got special note by the assessing staff you thank your lucky stars for.

So, as much as I hugely approve of having said links and related ideas presented to me as I search, I can't help but feel it could dampen the need for future students to learn the skill of searching for and researching information on the web. Though I suppose on the other hand by making the information easier to access its surely only going to allow for students to access and engage with new material faster and easier than before hopefully making it less of a chore and more enjoyable :-)

We shall have to see if I have a more formed opinion when I'm researching and writing my final project report in a few years ;-)
