Yes! Please please make it Carmageddon 2 like, not the 3000... Hopefully they will have some Flatout type damage engine too. Flying bits all over the place!![]()
There is only 7 days left to buy the game for $15, after this the pre-order price will be increased and should be available through their main website via paypal.
" The head of games at IHS Screen Digest said to the BBC “(Kickstarter) has become inundated with games funding requests, which I think will hamper the potential of future projects securing necessary funding. Also we have yet to see any major results from the games funded through Kickstarter. The future success of this channel of funding really depends on the results that come out of it.""
Well no ****. Somehow funding a game doesn't mean it comes out the next day. Who the hell are IHS Screen Digest anyway? Sounds like some overpaid non-knowledgeable quango.
2 Things I want to see:
1. More like Carmageddon 1 as 2 felt like driving through sludge.
2. A return to Fear Factory doing the soundtrack - it helped define the game as genuinely awesome!

I'm fairly certain the first Carmageddon was a 1997 release. I got it for me Birthday that year, oh the memories..... Every few years I get it out again for a quick blast.
I would prefer a Carmageddon 1 style, HUUUUGE maps and the cars handled the best, not 2 or TDR 2000 (miniture maps, and felt like driving a barge everywhere), they lost the way. That said number 2 had some awsome music!

And PLEASE, let there be a suitable soundtrack...
One of the best games i have ever played in my younger years! I hope they make the first 2 playable on windows 7 soon!
Keep an eye out for this, soon to be released: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/carmageddon_max_pack
And yes, legacy games there that originally lack compatibility, are patched up for modern OSes, as well as often coming with goodies. Definitely deserves more gamer support.
I have to get this, even if its just to try and re-live my gaming youth! :-)
