It could be a step backwards i do agree there. The wiimote was a gd way to game and do light exercise.
I dunno about that my local gym is almost £40 a month...... In all seriousness i know what you mean that controller will be expensive.
I mean all in around £270 not including the games. Remember the WII fit cost over £50 quids. and then you need to buy extra controllers ifyou want your mates to join in. Of course it's long term investment. But WII could break down, your gym won't
But it is a kind of exercise that makes it fun for the whole family and gets you doing some exercise rather than finger bashing lol
When the price comes down ill get one for kids. Unless one falls off a truck first ill be waiting!
This will be picked up by the causal gamers who want the latest tech out but for those gaming on the PS3/X360 there is no incentive to buy this machine.
I admit that I bought a Wii it was fun at first but I can't forgive Nintendo for the dire game list that followed. I think most gamers would have learnt their lesson from the Wii.
Perhaps some of you should have a look. All I can here is moaning at Nintendo about NOT including different games, and I link to an example of a different game and people don't bother looking, and still keep moaning.

I'm pretty sure they are full analogue control sticks not Circle Pads as seen on the 3DS
It seems the Wii U might have a GPU similar to that found in an HD6670:
