Ughh. Manufactures still using 'grey to grey' for response times

Not 120Hz by the looks of it?

Re: News - EIZO FORIS FS2333 23-inch LED-backlit monitor for gamers

Whenever a piece of tech has the words "gamer" or "gaming" involved then you know 90% of the time its utter tripe. This brightness stuff to me sounds like cheating, i.e oh a rooms dark lets up the gamma to see people , stupid STUPID idea as turning up gamma is easy enough.

This sounds like a massive flop and will be like £500 <snip>, when i can get a 27" catleap for £300 which is 120hz and a nice highend IPS panel

But good luck to making it sell and im happy to eat my words if it is actually good .

good god, its the first line of the specs... i actually read the whole thing, clearly not thinking today but i still stand by it probably not being very good as you can buy an LG IPS for £100, ips doesnt mean pure quality like it used to . I hope its good though, be nice for another competitor!.

yeh great, you keep alt tabbing to desktop to alter it when you go into a dark room in game

will do wonders for my KDR

You only need to alter it once, before you even start the game You can adjust the value of just the mids/shadows, just like this monitor

Not sure about this. The brightness setting looks to me like it should be an always on function if it requires processing screen side. If it is not just a gamma tweak then it could prove to be interesting, however this is exactly what it looks like so it better be price competetive as there are well known established screens already here that can offer a bargain.
