I wouldn't expect Amazon to be wrong about this sort of thing, especially with the price guarantee...and if it was an accident of some kind it would have been taken down by now, at Nintendo's insistence most probably. My bet is on both price and release date being correct.

Perhaps Nintendo and Amazon have come to some sort of deal whereby Amazon get to 'leak' the release, get a load of pre-orders and publicity as a result and maybe promote Nintendo a bit more on their site or accept a slightly lower margin in return.

thats possible, if im honest i just put a preorder in a few hours ago after seeing it, simply because its preorder and i always try and preorder as early as possible because if i change my mind i just click cancel . May have to read up on the wii u now haha,

Cant say I've seen anything that exciting about the Wii U so far to warrant buying it, the Wii in most of the homes I know of sit in cupboards or have been hacked to bits cause they aren't worth much more.

Does anyone still love their Wii?

To be fair I think this console might be a bit better in terms of longevity - if it's good enough for 1080p gaming then it'll be good enough for most people's TVs for a long time. The clear problem is that the launch titles announced so far are complete trash IMO, though if they've rushed the release date forward that might be why. No reason to buy the console at launch for me, I think I'll wait and see what the games lineup looks like a bit after release.
