    Machine says Hi!
    Cat says Meow!

Cat expects treats or a stroke from the machine, which again says Hi!

Cat looks fedup and then trundles off with its hind legs and tail indicating disgust!

A million times less powerful sounds significant, but with computers doubling in speed every 18 to 24 months, that won't be a big difference for long.

    2014 - 500,000
    2016 - 250,000
    2018 - 125,000
    etc.

Don't AI researchers joke that a neural net is always the second best way to do something?

Well nature managed to whittle down a concious neural net super computer down into a 100W profile, so it should be simples, yes?

I love reading about stuff like this, it's so incredibly cool.
Just think how amazing this will be in about 30 years or so, I imagine a world where programming is seen as an ancient way to work with computers, now we just give it instructions.

I really hope quantum computing advances are made so that these techniques are feasible on systems that are smaller than a field!

And lo, Google Engineers come one step closer to emulating Facebook's technology of being able to auto-tag photographs

    (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=)

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!

Good experiment, not very accurate findings but nice to see someone do it. Oh yeah its Google again...
