    Just wait.

Google will make this amazing but no-one will really go for it.

Then, a few years down the line, Apple will pick it up, making a few Apple tweaks along the way, and everyone will marvel at Apple for its innovation and technical expertise...

... although it will all just be branding and marketing.

.... however, to everyone's surprise, the firm announced a $1,500 'Glass Explorer Edition', exclusively for attendees, to ship early next year, allowing them to sit on the bleeding edge of Project Glass development ....
$1500 isn't enough. They'd have to pay me a LOT more than they to get me to wear these.

And the chances of me wearing anything that even remotely might be passing data about my activities back to Google = zero. At best.

What is it you think google is collecting? It's all available to see and turn off, you might not need an account for them to work?

Obiously the final product will look a lot better and I know the american military are making contacts with a hud that stays in focus no matter where you look.

It will all be the norm one day and I can't wait.

As awesome as this sounds, I'm still slightly nervous about the inconclusive evidence around the effect of microwaves on the human body (i.e. CANCER), so I'm not sure I'd want something as....'active'....as Project Glass sitting next to my brain for more than 8 hours a day.

Then again, I keep my smart phone next to my testicles for longer than that....

Studied this during my Physics degree, look up skin effect (might get complicated), we're very safe.

Very cool This is the sort of thing that would convert me to put up with Android if it were the only way to get this tech!

So now we know that Google are backing HMD/HUDS, and we also know that some crazy scientists have been testing contact lens HUDs on cute little bunny rabbits...perhaps we'll get contact lens HUDs by 2020 ;D

Truly a good time to be alive..now just need to figure out how to get "on the list" so I can get a prototype (or more likely make friends with the right person!)

Ahaha, lol. How do they know if the contact lenses work? Display carrots and see if they try to eat the air?
