    I don't see the reason to have this for consumer boards, it seems incredibly strange at this point in time. Especially since daisy chain Displayport monitors are still hard to come by/ don't exist and Thunderbolt devices are quite rare.

    The point would be for hackintoshes as a bare minimum, since the last MacPro updates were so disappointing.

    I don't see the point in complaining that several devices could max out the connection. So what ? It'll still perform perfectly fine while at maximum and it's not like you'd need more than those speeds.

    While I agree about the lack of devices (in the places I've looked anyway), your point about daisy chain monitors not being readily available, means more than 1 port is good, surely?!
