I believe the NanoSIM will be used but am not sure if that picture is an accurate representation of it. This looks more like it.

The nano sim can't be that small. First... it's NOT nano. Second the user wouldn't be able to remove and insert it easily enough...

As for the connector, it needed to be done, it's just a shame that NONE of the other devices will work. Considering some attachments cost £100's, the sheeple *might* be mildly annoyed.

Re: News - Apple iPhone 5 rumours compilation

Good spec list - dammit, dammit. 12MPix Sony camera especially looks good.

I thought the Liquidmetal use had been denied recently though? And I'm surprised that Samsung are giving their biggest legal pain in the *** access to their latest cpu tech.

LTE only? Isn't that going to make it a little redundant for EU? And I'm really unconvinced that we need a smaller SIM than the current Micro one. Getting a bit ridiculous when you've got to use tweezers to install/remove the SIM.

If the spec list is reasonably accurate then I think Apple fans are going to be well pleased, and quite a few undecideds may head to the Apple Stores if the design is visually appealing. Personally though, I see nothing (apart from the camera perhaps) that'd persuade me to trade in my SIII.

Hopefully there will be 3rd party adaptors. If its 100% incompatible then apple will be in for some serious rage. Drives me mad that they cant just use Micro-USB like the rest of the world!

Well, here are we are going to let you know about some facts and also rumours of the iPhone 5. And be reminded, what you read here will still remain as rumours until the Cupertino-based company decides to announce the phone.

Which makes me wonder, wasnt there an EU directive saying all mobiles had to charge from a micro-usb? Or was that simply a gentleman's agreement between the civilised manufacturers?

And I thought Apple was a part of that.. but then afterwards they turned round and said "we don't make phones, we make portable communication devices" or something equally nauseating

There's no benefit to them using microUSB, only consumers.

Re: News - Apple iPhone 5 rumours compilation

Have absolutely no interest in this device whatsoever. The specs above already show it to be out-of-date.
The screen layer tech is the only thing that sounds of any interest here. The iphone needs to be slimmer and lighter than it's counterpart. And it's about time it has a larger screen.
Having a Galaxy Note, and using an iphone 3.5" screen is woefully small.
There appears to be nothing here that is better than the Note. Though it's most likely that I'm wrong and the resulting flames will no doubt teach me a lesson

Do the current iPhones have Gorilla glass? If so, I'm not sure they should call it 'unbreakable', I've seen loads of 4 and 4s's with smashed screens...

i phones have traditionally been the most fragile devices on the market. There is masses of drop tests on youtube to prove this:
