And how about bringing fibre or even just giving me closer to 8Mbps in central London?..8Mbps line, yet 2Mbps is the fastest it goes......and they refuse to acknowledge a problem 750metres from the exchange....good luck Wales - I just hope BT have the expertise to get it running properly. Good news is that if it doesn't, BT will simply refuse to acknowledge a problem and not fix it.

Christ alsenior beat The Animus to it!

I happen to live in an area of Cardiff which has 'decent' BB. Currently on Virgin 60meg, but that's about the only fast option in my area. There are a surprising amount of coders etc around here, so this can only be a good thing for computing in general in our area! It will be a shame not being able to mock my chums up in the hills still on 1 meg connections though.

Re: News - BT will supply FTTC broadband to 96 per cent of Wales by 2015

How about coming round my area next BT?

I've been stuck with a sub 0.5Mb connection for the last few weeks, and the ping times were atrocious. At one point it took nearly 5 minutes to get Google to load. Only yesterday did it speed up to 1.2Mb and even at that speed we still get drop outs.

Honestly, it's a complete joke when in 2012 your "broadband" connection struggles to load Google.

(Quote Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones said of the newly agreed project; “It’ll mean by the end of 2015, 96 per cent of homes)

Yes the words of another over paid corrupt politician holds great meaning for us welsh people one day I may even have more than 40-50kb download speeds or maybe even my grand children will.
