I for one am really excited about what this program could bring to the table...I'm hoping for some real creativity to come back into the gaming scene with low budget development for this device.

I just don't see how this'll be any good.

It's at best minimum spec for a games console.

At worst, it's just underpowered graphically, undersized in terms of storage, and currently severely under-developed. Only one of these is likely to change.

I agree and disagree with you at the same time. Gaming to me must be immersive however, without the right hardware AI will be thick and physics unrealistic (never mind graphics, I can live without it - have a look at Minecraft success.. not that I play it). Games like Angry Birds - maybe, should be fun, but with controller? I must see this in action, for the price it's a real jewel, I am just not convinced regarding the whole process. I am also happy to pay for the games as long as the idea will be functional.

Re: News - OUYA Android console comes with rooting instructions

Graphically this has more kick than the original xbox, 1080p might prove a challenge but we'll see. Honestly I'd buy one of these if only for the controller and emulating a PS1, but then I might as well pay less than 99 bucks for a controller and hook my phone up to a TV. Maybe if there were a custom design with the best possible specs in terms of CPU and GPU power it'd be worthwhile for games, as is it'd just be nice to have streaming video and whatnot, also onlive
