Should imagine that if that is the real deal, certainly looks it must admit.

Wonder when it launches if Apple will patent the rectangular shape, thickness of the design and everything else to stop other manufacturers from creating candybar style phones!

You mean they don't have a patent on the square yet?

Doubt I'll ever afford an iPhone, but I'm hoping they continue the iPod touch line.. albeit with some kind of converter as there's too much stuff designed around the old port these days..

Looks like it's shaping like a brick alright. Was it Sony that in 2006 tried similar design and was booed by Apple? Anyways.. Got my Samsung Galaxy S3 yesterday, couldn't be happier. Won't ever buy Apple products, no matter what they will be making.

Did they ask themselves what would Sony design, again? LOL

Now it just looks like they attempted to make it thinner, but couldn't quite fit it in, so the screen now protrudes from the bezel...

Or are they deliberately trying to make it more fragile?

Look like this came from the Undemocratic Republic of Meh.
There's nothing inspiring about this design at all.

Hexus Apple hate out in force again I see

It looks ok, not much of a change from the 4s but I guess all manufacturers are limited when designing a rectangle with a screen. More interested in the specs than the looks though.

I have a lot of respect for the aesthetic design of apple, they create some really nice things. The change from iPhone 3 to 4 was a nice refresh but their lack of effort here is almost arrogant.

Re: News - Is this Apple's iPhone 5 fully assembled?

True, however I do like the look of the 4, when it was leaked I thought it was more industrial looking. This 5 is more if the same, do people really want their phones to look totally different at every refresh?

Re: News - Is this Apple's iPhone 5 fully assembled?

The fact that it looks so similar to the iPhone 4/S suggests that it won't be noticed. People won't be going oooohhh, look, the iPhone 5. If people don't notice it, it's popularity will drop.

It's a real shame they haven't corrected the major design flaw of the iPhone 4 case. If those metal bumpers extended up to the edge of the glass, instead of exposing the glass to the full force of whatever it lands on when you drop it, a great many broken screens will be avoided.

The glass is stronger than the metal I expect.

The frame isn't terribly strong anyway, I've seen a few phones dropped from a few feet where the frame simply bent in towards the screen, breaking it anyway.

    Edit: Beaten to posting again!!
