News - NVIDIA launches 660 Ti, AMD responds with more price cuts

£240 7950 over the cheap and nasty 660 with its nasty cheap 192 bit bus holding it back with high AA use and games that like high memory bandwidth, £250 card my ***. 7950 blows the 660 away in specs and clocks way past 7970 performance, the 660 TI is dead on the shelves at its current price in the UK. AMD are doing good.

660Ti would be a good card if priced correctly. I spoke to a guy at Overclockers UK when ordering a 7850 couple of days ago and he was saying no one was buying them. I don't think it'll be long until we see an Nvidia price cut if their experience is anything to go by.

According to some people its the best value card in the world and selling like hotcakes!!

AMD have had the right effect!

Today over 100pc of 7950 sold and over 250pc of 7800 series in a day - WOW!

29 GTX660TI cards were sold in the same time period:

Just 29pc today, so quite a bit lower, but not so bad if they sustain that daily.

Still at £30 or so less they'd fly!

GTX660TI cards seem to be hitting around £220 to £225 at some places. I wonder how long until they hit around £200.
