Is it just me, or is this a step backwards from current-generation smartphones? At the very least, it's not a forward step!
Also completely agree about that hideous backplate

On the brightside, the backplate is Kevlar so good chances of you surviving a bullet, you know for those times when you just might need that type of protection

How? They are slim mid-high end smartphones, the dual core S4 is a good chip. IMHO the 1GB of RAM (rather than 2GB as some GS3 models abroad, the Note II and upcoming LG phones have) keeps them from being considered the full high end and the design is so-so but like all things it depends on the price.

Will be interesting to see what this Intel chip model is like and what CPU is found inside.

Google's phone division can't ship new devices with the latest Android.

To me the front looks quite a lot like an HTC One S. The back I'm not so bothered about - it'll be hidden by my hand (or a case) and besides - if it's textured Kevlar then maybe it'll also be non-slip.

How come the US get a nice Snapdragon, while we have to slum it with some damned Intel chip of (as yet) unproven worth?

Yep, Google's issuing them to their legal team - as a protection measure from angry Apple lawyers!

Re: News - Motorola unveils three new RAZR smartphones

I don't think we need any Motorola products in the UK. Motorola have demonstrated they have no interest in support or care for UK consumer's.

Re: News - Motorola unveils three new RAZR smartphones

IIRC,one of the recent Motorola phones had very long battery life, even though it was not very thick:

Looking forward to this phone,if the battery life claims pan out.

I had a motorola razor for like two days years ago, I brought it back to the shop it was horrible quality and a pathetic phone compared to others out at the time.

Re: News - Motorola unveils three new RAZR smartphones

This is the lowest model and looks nothing like the Razor HD MAXX, which has no bezel etc. My choice is between the new LG, Sony, Nokia and the Motorola flagship models. They all have the same kinda look...

Re: News - Motorola unveils three new RAZR smartphones

i just don't understand google's strategy regarding motorola. if they only wanted patents then spin the hardware company off, if they want it for hardware then why have asus make the nexus 7? if its about not wanting to lay americans off with an election around the corner fair enough, but contracting out to asus is not much different.
