All passengers should be advised; the Windows 8 flight is encountering more turbulence. Captain Microsoft is checking the altimeter - because this is beginning to look like an October crash landing!

    What a non story.

Its not released yet, only RTM, its not ment for anything beyound evaluation on the license I have.

If your in Metro, most sites can't access flash anyway.

The people criticising the security in windows 8, are the same firm which complained against 64bit security measures in Longhorn. I mean their credability is null.

Meanwhile, people in the Java world running on 'supported' versions of OSX are two months behind on a flaw that is exploited in the wild.

Agreed TheAnimus - until GA I think we should cut MS a break - after all it's only out there for testing purposes in effect. There have been no updates for it as yet and the help isn't finished either..

I'd rather have a virus over Norton.

Actually I can get it (as a student through MSDNAA), companies with Software Assurance can get it etc. I'm talking the real deal retail version for proper use, not either of the previews or the RTM 'Evaluation' version.

I suggest you read the terms and conditions for how your able to get it via MSDNAA and companies via Tech Net. Its not been released to those with SA yet.

I've got it installed on my laptop and my netbook and I actually quite like it. Much faster boot time for a start, and I'm starting to use the Metro side of it more than I thought I would, especially when I want complete focus on something. I know it won't be for everyone but after living with it as my main OS now on my devices it's nothing like the "disaster" a lot of people are making it out to be. I don't have a single regret moving from Win7.
