"It was revealed that Kim's mansion had been unlawfully seized and searched with an invalid warrant and that US authorities had yet to formally issue any criminal papers to the company, a requirement in New Zealand law."

If anyone can be bothered to check, you should find that the USA CANNOT issue criminal papers against a foreign based company; the last I heard, it may turn out that all of the actions requested by the USA have been illegal.

Sure the US Federal government demonstrates flagrant disregard for their own domestic law (constitution), why should they care about obeying the laws of other countries?

Now AG Eric Holder is funding local police with Federal Dept. of Justice cash to troll IRC and other 'pirate' venues for IP infringement, taking police man power away from real crimes and doubling their focus on what's meant to be a civil matter copyright holders are suppose to responsible for.
