Nexus 7 was the first real contender as an iPad beater - but I reckon the iPad Mini is too little product for too much money...
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
It's a cracking device at bargain money so this isn't shocking.

We have a Nexus 7. Its just brilliant. Fast easy, to use, and good battery life.
Cool, the board can go out for a slap meal at McDonaldsThe Taiwanese tech company posted profits of $229 for Q3 2012
Or is there perhaps an M missing there?

Nah, it's an adjusted figure accounting for "damages" awarded to Apple by a US court - after all, the Nexus 7 is successful so I'm assuming that Apple will sue Asus for copying an iPad Mini prototype.
Joking aside, it's heartening to see the Nexus 7 doing well - haven't got one myself (although if I can find an 8GB for <£150 then I'll dive in).
And not forgetting Asus' own Transformer tablets - it would be nice to hear how they're selling. I see the TF300 "budget" model in a lot of shops so I'm going to assume that it's doing okay sales-wise.At the other end of the market we have more traditional larger tablets like the 10-inch iPad, Google Nexus 10 (made by Samsung) and Microsoft Surface.

I want finger extensions ... then I can play this darned guitar properly!
ASUS tablets are great, ive got the infinity which is the best tablet about, much better than the ipad 4

I do like my Nexus 7, despite its low build quality its "robust enough" and you don't cry when you scratch it or get DEET on it because its so cheap.
I would however like it thinner, lighter and with more battery life, however most of my complaints about the latter are due to the software I run on it.
Can't see the sales slowing any time soon, even with the Kindle competition.

It's such a steal at that price, not surprised it's done so well. Nexus 10 soon with it's super high density display, if they go in cheap enough again (I think they've said $400), they'll make a serious dent in the tablet marketshare.
Does it attract bugs? *Budamchisssh*
