If other retailers (and CPW) follow suit it could make it difficult to play with one of these before buying. What are LG thinking?! Unless Google are massively subsidising each handset...

Are LG going mad? Or are they forcing sales through Google? I'm actually considering getting one of these, would be nuts to go contract IMO.

I would be going for one of these but the battery life is putting me off - that and the SD card (or lack thereof). Get over those gripes and it's fantastic for the (Google) money.

Is it really bad? I've not seen any conclusive damning reviews of it, I've read the brightness of the IPS+ kills it if you have it fully up.

Definitely looking at this carefully. As with everyone, the lack of microSD is a huge bummer. The vast majority of my storage is used for music, so if Google Music works in the UK, then that would be a non-issue.

Clearly LG is trying to make huge margins on this, where Google selling it on their own outlets are making less margin (if any)

LG you complete and utter dick heads - you have a piss poor reputation when it comes to phones and consumers already.

LG mobile are only really making a profit this year, isn't that right? I think they had a huge tactical error here but this Nexus is overshadowing their Optimus G...

The Optimus G is a better handset in pure hardware terms, but of course pricier and sadly with outdated software.

No, it might not be that bad. People seem to think driver optimisation is also to blame in the review models and that battery will improve with updates. Still, the 3100mAh battery of the Note 2 certainly shows it up..
The combination of potentially (relatively) weak battery and no microSD slot is enough to keep me from jumping on this bandwagon though, I'd rather shell out the extra (nearly double!) price for the Note 2. Plus that will feel more of an upgrade from my Desire HD being a bigger screen and all!
