2500k, simply an amazing chip from Intel, great overclocking and performance with on-board GFX to boot.
Q6600. Still using it.

It could be argued the "best" is the latest one as it's usually the fastest so based on that, i7 3930k. But... overall, it's gotta be the i7 2600K, biggest jump from my previous chip and an easy stable 40% OC with a couple button clicks, still running it 24/7 without a hitch today.
Intel Core i7-3770k. Great CPU, only bad thing is the way the IHS and the chip have a layer of thermal compound instead of being soldered together... :L
The best one is the one I am using right now obviously. However, my favourite CPU was the 2.2GHz AMD Athlon 3200 that any one could give a 1GHz overclock just by ramping up the FSB.
Q6600 without a doubt
My favourite CPU so far has got to be the 3570k but I am torn between that for its sheer performance for the price and the A6 Llano CPU I bought for my sisters computer due to how much I love that technology and how cheap it is for rather good performance.
Q6600 by far
AMD phenom II 965, really a good old cpu, i miss it, the 955 is a lot worse despite peolpe say it overcloks better...
q6600 lasted me years
I get the feeling there's going to be a lot of Q6600's in this.
As for me? The Q6600. Bought from Scan for £120 years ago, I actually sold it and the cheap mobo I used with it for £100 last year.
Celeron 300A - Ramped up to 450MHz of course
The old AMD FX-55, cant for the life of me remember what happened to that system, you'd think i'd never forget what happened to a £600+ CPU :/

Had a Q6600 but that is nowhere near being a Celeron II 533mhz (coppermine). Think it was known as the 533A.
8x with a 66mhz FSB. You change a jumper and 100% of them worked at 8x 100mhz. Basically a 800 mhz P3 with 128 cache instead of 256 and 95% the performance for next to no money.
Great little chip.
