Going with my 7950, was amazing out of the box and just went further when overclocked.

The Google Nexus range. Crazy high spec at low prices? AND the fact that you don't have to wait for updates ever. Just Awesome.

Well I just convinced myself to order a Nexus 10, the specs and power of this thing are immense. Doesn't ship for 1-2 weeks though.

Re: Features - QOTW: Name your best product of the year

iPad2! No, hang on.. iPad3! Wait, I mean... er, iPad4! Three generations in one year. You're spoiling us Apple. ;-)

Seriously, I think the Nexus4 could be the biggest deal. It has the potential to fundamentally change expectations among top end phones.

Personally, although I had an expensive year and bought both an iPad3 (home use) and a Nexus 7 (invaluable travel companion) the item which captured my heart as well as my wallet is the "cheap" 27" DGM, Korean style IPS panel I'm staring at right now.

I've never regretted spending money on a bigger monitor, and this one is no exception. The fact it was so cheap compared to previous purchases is a marvel.

Re: Features - QOTW: Name your best product of the year

I wanted to pick my SSD drive, but technically these launched in September 2011 so they don't count. So having been an AMD man since my first build, I would have to say my stand-out product of 2012 has to be the first ever Intel CPU I put into a rig and that's my Ivy Bridge i7 3770k, it's not just the CPU that I love but the whole platform, it's simply marvellous, IMHO. I'm very happy with it.

    Surely its the Raspberry Pi?
Nothing else has truely innovated, changed our thinking or even the way we use technology.
Everything else is just more of the same.

Tie between the Apple Rectangle (who knew there could be such a shape?) and the Nexus 6 (prototype).

I'm joining the Nexus 7 crowd. Just got one a couple of days ago, and it's great.
