Bitfenix prodigy, small, smexy and cool
Coolermaster Wavemaster was so cool.
Im not exactly objective, as the two cases I've owned consited of a cheap (€30) case that didnt have great cooling, and my current Bitfenix Colossus. Fantastic case, tons of room inside, and the two 230mm fans help with cooling a fair amount
My favorite case of all time is the Thermaltake Shark... Gorgeous case... heavy, unbalanced and noisy, but gorgeous... Regreted to sell it 30 seconds after I did...
My second most loved chassis is my current one: Compaq Presario 5831, originaly it contained an Slot A AMD K7 processor @ 500MHz, 64MB SDRAM, 8GB HDD, 8x DVD ROM...
The chassis is ATX compatible, solid, retro look, still with all the "Design for Microsoft Windows 98" stickers and all... and now houses an i3 2120, ASUS P8Z77-V LX mobo, 8GB Kingston HyperX Red, a couple of 1TB hdd's ... and the old school 8x DVD-ROM
CoolerMaster ATC [can not remember the # but it was around 2003 time] - I've not seen a better looking case since.
Coolermaster ATCS 201 and i'm still using it now!
No Sensei, i'm not kicking the mats to waste time, they have parted and I don't want to injure myself!
Could that have been the ATC-210-VX? That was/is (because there's still one in the house) a very good looking (and easy to fill) case - aluminium with a fancy backlit acrylic door. Downsides being only two 80mm fans. With advice from folks here on Hexus I modded mine - adding castor wheels and a bottom mounted 120mm inlet fan (with dust guard!).
It's only the fact that the ATC was too narrow to put in a decent cooler (I wanted a Noctua DH-14) that caused me to replace it with my current Coolermaster HAF932 (which is a heck of a lot wider, has a lot of 120mm+ fans, but still has wheels)
Don't think either would count as "the best PC chassis of all time", but they're pretty decent products never the less.
Haf 932 all the way !
Antec 1200, just wish it was lighter. Weighs as much as a small moon.
I loved my Lian li pc70 case. Lasted my for years and many many builds.
it was only a lack of space that made me move to a silverstone fortress ft03.
I still have the pc70 at my mums I cant contemplate throwing it away lol
As I've not spent more than £50 on a case its got to be my Antec 300. Can't see myself replacing it on the next build either as not bothered enough by USB 3.0 to spend another £50 on a 302 case!
I'd have to say I have a few fav cases over the years. You'd have to go a very long way to beat any of the original Coolermaster cases. The ones when they were really made of solid aluminium.
I still regret selling that case.
Other favourites include the cubit cases
Great if small to work in and well designed.
Though the ultimate case for me is the Voodoo Omen case.
Probably the only PC case to take on the MacPro/G5 case at it's own game. I'd have loved to get one of those. One day when I have some time I will probably just make my own Omen case.
hmm i would say nzxt switch 810
I've got my Thermaltake Tsunami, black, windowed, which was the case for my first ever PC build, and I'm still using it, x iterations later.
