I'm a bit concerned they didn't actually let us see the console...

When it says Hard drive "built-in" (and interestingly nothing about the capacity) does that mean it's non-user replaceable?

Would be good if you could get an ITX FM2 motherboard capable of taking GDDR5 Memory

Re: News - Sony PlayStation 4 is powered by an 8-core AMD Jaguar processor

It will be interesting to see what pricepoint they can hit, given that they are going straight to a single-chip CPU/GPU. I wouldn't be surprised if they can get to within $50 of the Wii U, because the Wii U's costs are in that gamepad, and the DualShock 4 is surely considerably cheaper to make, thus allowing some headroom for the 8GB GDDR5 and more advanced chippery.

Looks interesting but price will be key. If it costs as much as a similar spec PC I'd rather have the new PC as mine is getting seriously old now... If its cheaper though it might be worth a look. It certainly should help with games porting between consoles and PC!

The "light bar" IS a Move type controller; when he was talking about it lighting up in different colours, that was purely to differentiate between multiple players, he then went on to talk about how the stereo camera can use the light bar to locate its position in 3D space. You need to stop taking things in isolation, it changes the context completely.

They did show move still being present though in wand-form, the controller couldn't provide 360 rotation like the wand can due to the light only being on the front..?

Also how does the 1.84Tflops fit in with the rumoured 7970m? They've said AMD but does this all line up? 8 cores and GPU on one chip, anything similar in spec/performance currently out there that we can compare to?

The GPU is 16 CUs of a possible 18 with 4/16 specifically assigned to GPGPU tasks (physics etc).
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...D_7xxxM_Series

    Less than a 7970M apparently.

Around the power of a slightly overclocked 7850 in terms of desktop GPUs perhaps.

    So spectacular it is not...
