No. Too expensive. I don't game enough to justify it.

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

Not unless I win the lottery. I'll stick with the GTX 680 for a few generations (fingers X).
Also as the 700M series drivers have appeared on nVidia's site I would guestimate the GT/GTX 700 series will be May/June...

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

I'd be surprised if many do. Assuming you're the kind of person willing to shell out £800 on a graphics card, you'll already own a GTX 690, a 7990, or an equally spec'd equivalent multi-card solution.

They are unlikely to spend the depreciation and extra required in order to downgrade the quality of the graphics, even if it does mean cooler and quieter running.

That really leaves those who are so insane that they currently have dual 690s, and are looking to sell them and replace it with a superior triple GTX Titan rig. And perhaps those with money to burn who are terrified of micro-stutter.

Seems like a small market to me.

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be buying a GeForce GTX TITAN?

I've just loaded up Crysis 3 on my 3-year old PC, running a slightly above stock GeForce 480GTX, all settings are on max, I'm playing in 3D and I can't spot any noticeable frame-drop, so no, until a game comes out that actually requires it, it's not even under consideration.

Mind you, I'm interested in running three monitors at a time, however, the fact only my primary monitor can be 3D and that Crysis 3 requires the other turned-off, again, not much point.

Actually, that's not entirely true. Because the TITAN is a single chip solution, it can be further SLI'd, whilst 2-chip solutions can't be. So in this respect it can't be beaten by any existing configuration.

The 690 and 7990 can be SLId/Crossfired once (ie 2 cards), for a quad-GPU setup. It's not well optimized afaik, seeing as a tiny percentage of people would have enough money for that kind of setup.

I wish. I hope the GTX 780 offers more of a performance boost, for less cash.
