Re: News - Google Glass apps demonstrated at the SXSW show in Texas

Given that I already wear glasses, it'd have to integrate into my existing specs.

However, I'm not really interested in Google Glass - it's just a bit too douche-baggy. Where's Google Neural Interface? That's what I want to know.

i want google now, not google glasses. no point, as I already have a pair of glasses. Then I'll have to buy contacts... So no point really. Don't get me wrong - Google has a nice way of integration with us as end-users, but sometimes it's over the top (e.g now).

By the looks of things it shouldn't be too difficult to integrate with my existing glasses. I hope not anyway.

Yeah, I have no idea why people think that you won't be able to get prescription Google Glass.

I reckon that they will make an add-on for existing glasses wearers or even make a pair that can have lenses fitted.

Rest assured, anyone wearing this will look and sound like a knob. What is the point of it? How is it any better than just using the phone you already own to do anything this does... Do we really need the weather forcast visible as we walk along, actually in the weather?

You mean just like Siri users?

I like the idea. No more padding myself down searching for my phone, just to get the time! But at 1500 bucks, they can stick their glass where the sun don't shine... Wonder what they'd call it then.

You don't need to resort to a display worn on your face to avoid such a problem, I believe there is an ingenius invention called a 'watch'. Apparently they're quite popular

I know.. battery in my watch died 18 months ago and I've just never got around to replacing it. Don't think I'm the only person using their phone as a watch though
