News - Dell announces the XPS 18, an 18-inch AiO PC and tablet hybrid

Hybrid in hardware design but not in its system software, this is 100 per cent Windows 8.

Looks nice, if they could up the graphics to AMD 7750ish performance without effecting the size I would buy one straight away.

If they made it with an AMD mobile APU they would get decent graphics with low heat and power usage....

    (My personal wish)

If they made these so they could stand in portrait mode then you could be much more productive in Word or even viewing websites (text is vertical and there usually only blank space to the sides). My Dell 2405 is vertical 1200 x 1900 and it's awesome viewing websites, reading pdfs etc etc.

This is awesome. Twice the size and the same price as Microsofts own Surface Pro. Shame the specs don't reveal the graphics capabilities.

Well this was released yesterday and I think I may just get it! Can't see any use in desktops anymore since I don't game, and this seems to make a lot of sense to have around the house. The price is steep though, you could get a pretty nice desktop for that price... Interesting concept anyway and just the kind of full-powered 'tablet' computer I've been looking forward to seeing.
