They might well support it, and it might be configurable, and have statistics, and so on, but it doesn't change the fact that they sell them based on a presumed level of compression - i.e. exactly what scary was saying would be ridiculous, which was the point of my comment.
Anyway, it was a tangent to begin with, so no, it's got very little in common with SSD usage.
