honestly, at the kind of price range they operate at I'd be expecting 2*360 rads as a minimum, as well as compartmentalised psu, decent cable management solutions. Enthoo Primo, HAF Stacker, H440 etc all have many more features than this at a better price, since this is basically just a big expensive aluminum case with nice castors.
This looks like an updated version of the one I have - can't remember the model number just now, though. It's noisy and not particularly great for air cooling. Last week I built a microATX system - i5 4670K @ 4.4GHz, 1.250V; Noctua NH-D14; Antec 140mm TriCool rear exhaust; 200mm Bitfenix Spectre Pro front intake, additional Antec Tricool 140mm roof intake; Palit Super Jetstream GTX780 (overclocked); 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3 running at 1400MHz, 8-8-8-24 (get better results with lower clock and tighter timings); Samsung EVO 256GB SSD and a Corsair RM550W PSU all into a Xigmatek Aquila case. This case has far more vent holes for noise to escape, and with higher powered components than I ever had in the Lian Li (additionally overclocked a lot more than I had in the Lian Li, and with many more fans), it runs far quieter and cooler than the Lian Li ever did.
I'll never go back to Lian Li now. It's SO expensive, and wasn't particularly great to build into, was noisy and didn't take particularly well to air cooling (with many combinations of fans tested).
Their cases look like a first prototype, as if it's only meant to be seen from one angle, where the back and inside aren't painted, the rear fan has a store bought grill, there are exposed screws and the front I/O looks out of place and ill-fitting. I could see this being on sale for £50 tops
This is a case whose design has not moved on in over 10 years. With the exception of bar in the middle to provide support for the graphics card this is barely any different to my cooler master stacker from years ago but with a nicer front.
For water cooling I want more radiator space then this provides.
Epic fail
I beg to differ. The Lian Li's that I have used (including the expensive predecessor to this one) have had a fair amount of wobble. The machining is very good, and of course aluminium is a very tactile material. Lian Li do a good job with the finish, but because there's no steel in there, the overall rigidity is actually quite poor.
