News - Google's flat-look icons from Android 4.5 apparently leak out

So apple get slated for making ios7 look like my first iphone and now googling are following suit, urgh!
With phones having 1080p displays 2/3gb of ram and the latest quad core soc's I don't see the point in dulling down a few icons. Add some Jazz to them, put a bit of wow factor back in there!

Must admit, I could never have anticipated this trend. Thought it was going to be all 3d spinny-rotatey (tm), super hi-def icons going forward

But then I thought the desktop paradigm would be 3d now too lol...

Have you looked at the icons?
They are far from 'flat'. The title of the article is hugely misleading. The icons are simply an evolution of what has come before, they don't copy or even emulate what apple have done. Still shadows, still shading, still android....

People need to make their own opinions instead of being click-bait
