My GTX 460 is in dire need of a replacement, so yeah, I have my eye on the 970.
well right now my rig has a gtx 770 OC so i'll probably upgrade when Nvidia comes out with the 20nm instead of the 28nm.. i'll make my decision when i see the 980TI performance.
Yes from me, I was looking at getting the 980 but i've decided my next monitor will be qhd so the 980 would probably be slight overkill.. that and I only spend a couple hours a week gaming at the most so it'll be a 970 to finish off my new PC.
Hmm.....yeah. I dont know.
I am in a similar boat to some here.....GTX770'd up in February and was considering SLI, glad i didnt. But i still havent pulled the trigger on the 970 yet.........for some reason.
Oh....i guess i am banging out decent FPS as i game at 1080 with no plan to change that.
Dont know.
someone convince me ffs
lol
Yes, but not till ~February, strapped for cash right now unfortunately.
Once i have the cash ill be dropping it on a gtx 970.
I'll stick with my 480GTX for a bit yet I think, but will upgrade to a 7xx series card probably when funds permit, I tend to stick a bit behind the curve as simply can't afford to upgrade all that often.
Have a 660ti FTW+ 3gb just now. Although it is running on a 2560x1440 screen now so a little more oomph would be good. Most likely be getting the AMD offering this time around.
Interesting....
Thing for me is that I'm looking for massive performance at 2560/1600 at ultra settings and this doesn't do anything that the 780 ti does already.
Will see what AMD come up with... and worst case wait another generation for proper gains.
No point upgrading when Display Port 1.3 is just around the corner for monitors. A revision of GPU may then be necessary to gain full advantage
No tanks, I will wait for Titan II........
but I admit that this new GPU are at this moment the best option
Already have done, pulled the trigger on a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970 earlier today before Scan put the price up, already posted for Monday ya .
Kills two birds with one stone as upgrades my main rig and allows me to pass the 670 down to my lan rig so upgrades all round.
If anyone is interested I'd be happy to do some tests on my current rig with the 670 and then the 970 when it arrives on Monday if anyone is thinking of the same upgrade.
Yup, getting an EVGA 970 ACX next week. My 660Ti will be physX card for a while, just to mess about.
I have an Asus 780Ti Direct CU OC on my 5960X, but a GTX 760 on my 4790K. The GTX 760 goes to be replace with an Asus Strix GTX 980 (when I can find one).
The price aint bad, I was expecting it to be 100$ more for both.
Maybe i will grab the 970.
I may go for a 970. It looks like a healthy jump up from the 680.
Disappointed not to see 1440p or 1600p benchmarks though.
